Experience the eternal city of Rome, which at one time was the center of the world.  Here the vibrant and beloved church of Rome to which Paul wrote Romans grew and flourished in the face of persecution.  We also remember Rome as the final home of Paul the Apostle before his martyrdom at the order of Emperor Nero.  Take some time to visit the Mamertime prison where Paul stayed. After the first century Rome served as the headquarters of the Catholic Church, meaning Rome has played a key role in world history since its conception.  Follow in the footsteps of Paul in Acts 28 by traveling parallel to to the Appian Way to Puzzuoli, also known as Puteoli.
